A Sustainable and Natural Approach
In Honey Loiseau, the permapicultura is much more than a method of production; it is a philosophy that guides every aspect of our beekeeping. We adopted this approach in 2009, after 25 years of producing honey under conventional practices. The permapicultura is based on the principles of sustainability and respect for nature, allowing the bees to live and work in an environment as natural as possible. This means do not using syrups or protein cakes as artificial feed, which transforms many hives in small feedlots. Instead, our bees feed exclusively on what they collect, ensuring a pure honey and free of contaminants.
Strong and Healthy Bees
A fundamental pillar of our practice is the natural selection of bees resistant to varroa mite, one of the most harmful parasites for bees. Since 2009, we have been working with wild hives that possess genetic characteristics that allow them to survive and thrive without the need for chemical treatments. This process of natural selection has allowed us to develop robust and healthy hives, capable of resisting diseases and pests naturally. In addition, this practice allows us to produce superior quality honey, without chemical residues, something that our customers deeply value.
Positive impact on the Ecosystem
In addition to benefiting the health of our bees, the permapicultura has a positive impact on the ecosystem. By not using chemicals and methods of artificial feeding, we maintain the natural balance of the fields where our hives are located. These sustainable practices contribute to the biodiversity and help to preserve the natural environment. Our honey is a reflection of this commitment to nature, offering our customers a genuine product and high quality. By choosing Honey Loiseau, you're not only enjoying an exceptional honey, but you're also supporting beekeeping practices that respect and protect the environment.
